Testimonials
Isabell Hühnel (Germany) - "Lovely family style guesthouse with kitchen for use and great host family. Rooms are big, bright and clean and come with attached bathroom. Hot and cold water available as well as free wifi and solar powered light, when needed. Located very close to Lakeside but the area is more quiet away from the bars that often play live music at night. Situated between a river and rice fields, you get enjoy two sides of Nepal in one spot: Lively restaurants in the nearby Lakeside as well as the village feeling of so many remoter places in Nepal. I thoroughly enjoyed my long term stay at this place."
Oliver Brooke (Australia) - "Bishnu and his family are incredibly welcoming people. Their home is placed just on the edge of the busy Lake district in Pokhara but far enough away to have a distinct village feel. I enjoyed every moment of my time spent with their family. The house itself is adequately furnished and has views over the lake and rice fields. I highly recommend anyone looking for an authentic experience in Nepal to stay at Bishnu Homestay"
Monique Van Veen (New Zealand) - "I can't say enough about the incredible experience I had staying with Bishnu, Laxmi, and their amazing family. From day one you will be welcomed as a member of their family, and made to feel at home. They go out of their way to make sure you have an unforgettable experience not just in Pokhara, but in the whole country. Bishnu booked some incredible adventures for my friend and I - from white water rafting, to trekking, to bus tickets around the country, nothing is a problem and with his amazing local knowledge you will be sure to have really genuine, incredible experiences.
Before we even arrived at their home, Bishnu had put together an itinerary for us with everything I'd expressed an interest in! I was also lucky enough to celebrate my birthday in Pokhara and will never forget the incredible day I had with my new family! Bishnu let us borrow his motorbike so we explored the lake, then had a beautiful dinner with the whole family. I ended up extending my time in Pokhara to spend more time at my new home while my friend trekked Everest Base Camp. Bishnu organised a volunteering experience at his son's school for me. Really - nothing was too much trouble.
If you have any questions about this homestay please feel free to email me - mevv17@gmail.com (Monique). I will be forever grateful to Bishnu and Laxmi for an unforgettable stay in Pokhara, and I'm so lucky to count them as my Nepalese family. You're only regret will be that you can't stay longer!"
